CABINET, SPRING HERBARIUM – HOME FARM, STROUD

Cabinet, Spring Herbarium – Home Farm, Stroud was commissioned by Angus and Meg to capture Meg’s childhood memories – and those of her own children – of her parents’ rambling garden in Stroud. They collected plants as a family in April 2025, a transitional time between the final chapter of winter and the abundance of late spring. The drinks cabinet has evolved into a temporal and geographic anchor in the family’s history – a fleeting moment in time preserved. As counterpoint to the physicality of the main structure and the nostalgia of the pressed plants, patinated zinc etched with plant impressions feature in the side panels, leaving a ghostly memory of what remains long after the plants are gone.
