About the product
The Split Stool is a lightweight and sculptural piece designed to use as little material as possible. We played with splitting and bending the wood, using traditional visible joinery techniques to hold the form together. The introduction of plaster to the lower section of the legs creates an interesting visual contrast and helps stabilise the otherwise lightweight frame.
