Made from British Oak, this knife block has been carved, dyed and rubbed back to bring out the texture of both the carving and the wood grain – creating a heavily textured surface reminiscent of a wild and dark ocean.

The bamboo rods within the block hold knives of almost any size and shape securely.

The PLANE Dining Table is built around traditional construction methods and detailed with our signature practice of using hand shaped facets to rationalise organic shapes and reveal the grain structures of the wood. The furniture sits with the quietness of more rustic pieces but retains an edge of contemporary minimalism as the light plays and breaks over the many precise faces of polished hardwood and solid brass supports. A pale Sycamore bench built around a structural beam of fumed Oak – bound together with Cherrywood butterfly cleats and brass fittings. Hand rubbed with Danish oil and polished with natural beeswax for a hard-wearing and maintainable finish. The bench can be made to order in any sustainable UK timber to any specified length. PLANE + Choppy Side Table
The PLANE + Choppy Side Table is a meeting of two of our favourite things; the precise yet irregular geometric shaping of timber and our Choppy Waters finish, developed in collaboration with Midgley Green for the Choppy Waters serving boards. The black-dyed and rubbed back sculptural surface was inspired by descriptions from a friend as she raced a clipper across the the wild, dark pacific ocean. The construction is a restrained, clean design in stunningly pale English Sycamore with solid brass support.
