PLANE Chopping Board

These serving boards showcase a theme that runs through much of our work, that of hand planing precise but irregular geometric facets into the wood. This creates numerous surfaces for the the light to play over whilst allowing you to explore the structure of the timber itself. They’ll give a great contemporary edge to your culinary masterpieces.

Available in Oak, and Sycamore sustainably grown in the uk and hand finished with natural oils. Includes leather hanging cord.

The PLANE + Choppy Side Table is a meeting of two of our favourite things; the precise yet irregular geometric shaping of timber and our Choppy Waters finish, developed in collaboration with Midgley Green for the Choppy Waters serving boards. The black-dyed and rubbed back sculptural surface was inspired by descriptions from a friend as she raced a clipper across the the wild, dark pacific ocean. The PLANE Bench sits with the quietness of more rustic pieces but retains an edge of contemporary minimalism as the light plays and breaks over the many precise faces of polished hardwood and solid brass supports.
